This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Seth's blood gas

His carbon dioxide went up to 67 even though his breathing treatment allowed his oxygen settings to decrease to 56%. Please pray his lungs will improve in function and that the staff will know how best to help him. We thank God that he is resting peacefully tonight, NOT vibrating uncomfortably (as he did on the oscillator) for the first time in nearly a month! Thank you for your continued prayers that he will thrive on the regular ventilator as the Lord heals his lungs to the point he can get off the machines altogether.

He's 3 lb. 5 oz., so that growth is a praise! We pray for growth of healthy, new lung tissue.

  1. Will definitely continue to pray for Seth's lungs that they will grow, heal, and function more effectively. He has come so far and I just know he will continue to improve.
