This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

"Best day of school all year!"

". . . Since we came back from PNG!" was the report we got today. Wow, thanks for praying!

"I already have thousands of, I mean five friends! Actually, I think I have six!"

Seth, too, had a better day with lower carbon dioxide blood levels and a better X-ray with less inflammation, edema, etc. in his lungs. Please keep praying! The doctor says it will just take time, but we can pray he makes good progress, gains weight, is comfortable and at peace, and remains infection free. (That's huge.)

Gracie's surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, the earliest the surgeons could fit her in. She has been doing a lot better since her blood transfusion but needs to have this PDA closed before they can start weaning her from the ventilator.

David and Marcie gained weight this week, so thanks for praying for that, and please continue asking that for all the babies! Will is needing more oxygen than either of them, so that's his prayer need.

We pray each baby knows the Lord's love and joy and peace deep inside, that the necessary care doesn't upset them, and that they grow and thrive and avoid illness, please God.

    1. I am so grateful that Isaac had a good day at school. That is a true answer to prayer. Your blogs are amazing. I don't know how you have time or energy to post so regularly and with great detail. That ia a gift to all of those who are praying for and thinking of you so often these days. May the Lord bless each of you as only He can.

  4. Jones Family, I found out about your babies through Mandy Pehrson, and have started following your blog and praying for your family. God has given me a heart to pray for very little ones in need, and I'm thankful to be able to pray for your precious children. I have been praying already, but decided to finally post a comment because last night I even had a dream about the babies! They were progressing, healthy, thriving and of course, adorable. May God continue to grant this!!

  5. THREE CHEERS FOR ISSAC AND YOUR NEW FRIENDS. I am so glad for your great day.
Praying for the rest of the little ones. Just remember the children's song: Jesus Loves me, this I know. He has all of you in his arms.
