This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Grace's lungs

She needs prayer that her lungs will re-inflate completely. She's only on 28-30% oxygen, but she has diminished breath sounds. She also needs to gain weight.

Grace looking perky, even with a lip contorted by her breathing tube :)

Grace is the smallest baby at 2 lb 8.5 oz. She's been off stomach feeds for a week or more - hard to gain weight! :(

  5. I am so happy to see the improvements and watching them grow. I hope Issac had a fun visit with his new friend and that the two of you are getting some rest. Years ago I had one in NICU and I remember how that wiped me out...and you have five! I continue to pray for all of you and send positive thoughts your way.

  6. Lord,
We thank you for all the healing that you have done and we praise your name for the Jones’ angels and we are so thankful that they have allowed us to be part of their lives. Lord we lift Grace up and ask Lord for healing of her lungs and that she will be able to gain weight Lord. We stand in agreement with Gavin and Carrie on this. Lord we lift up Will and we thank you for allowing the diuretics to help him. We pray Lord that you will allow him to continue to put on weight. Lord we lift up David and we are so thankful that the necrotizing enterocolitis was identified early and was able to be stopped. We thank you for him to be able to feed again and that he will continue to gain weight. Lord, we are so thankful that you have given Marcie a healthy report in the last few days. We ask that her lungs continue to mature and that she also gains weight. Lord we ask for wisdom for Carrie & Galvin has they work and see about their angels. It is so hard to not want to snuggle with the babies but Lord we ask that you surround the babies and the parents for wisdom in seeking treatment for the angels. Guide the nurses and doctors when they treatment your angels so that these babies will continue to grow and flourish. Lord we thank you for all the people that are following the babies as they are reach around the world and what a wonderful way to spread your news. We also pray for Issac Lord that he is able to make Christian friends, help him in school to not only learn but to have a good time. Lord we know that so much attention is going to the babies but also help us to remember Issac and give him the attention he deserves. Lord we stand agreement for the babies to be totally healed and be healthy.

In Yours Father’s name we pray!

    1. OH MY I for SETH!! Lord we also lift up Seth and Lord that you help him with his breathing and that your blood cover this child and heal him. As with his brothers and sisters we just ask that your perfect will to be done with these little angels. To you be the power and the glory!

  7. Extra prayers for Gracie today. Also praying this will be a great week for the Jones family and that all the babies will reach their goals. It will be amazing to see them all on nasal canula!! In time, it will happen. Hope Isaac had a great weekend and you parents are taking care of yourselves. Please know your little miracles are being lifted up in prayer all over the world. It is such a blessing to be included in watching them grow and progress. Thank you.

You don't know me but I pray everday for your babies (extra ones go to Grace!). Four years ago my little Grace was born 10 1/2 weeks early. Today, she is in preschool and thriving like any other 4 year old. We are forever grateful to God!!! I pray for your babies and your family for the strength to carry on with each new day. May God bless all of you.
