This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Belated five-year-old portraits and pets

(The formatting on these is messed up and I'm not sure how to fix it.) Top to bottom: Marcie, Will, David, Seth, Gracie. Gavin rightly refers to the boys as "chocolate, caramel and vanilla" in hair color! I promise they're actual 100% brothers! The wonder of genetics . . .

People who live here still have trouble differentiating the girls, on the other hand. They don't look terribly much alike, but their coloring is so similar!

Boys with pets: We all love our cuscus, Gus. Isaac takes him lots of places with him. David really loves butterflies/moths. He carried one mostly-to-all-dead one around for two days and told us all to keep quiet so we wouldn't "wake him up." He even made him a house out of blocks right next to his own bed so they could sleep together.
