This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Gracie's surgery postponed until 12:10; eye exams; David

For those who want to pray at the exact time. :) Actually, that would be when she is moved to the operating room; she's currently on the schedule from 12:10 until 2:40, I think, but that, too, is subject to change depending on if previous patients' surgeries take longer, etc.

Her PICC line is in (with no problems!), she's had a blood transfusion, she's "feisty" but asleep right now, doing well. Thanks for praying!!

The three oldest babies (Will, David and Marcie Jane) are getting their first eye exams today, something that is very upsetting to the babies and moms and dads. Please pray for their comfort and good exams!

Also, David still needs his PICC line, so thanks for praying for his comfort especially. Here he has a tummy bug, an eye exam, and his little veins are used up, necessitating another procedure for which they can't medicate him since he's breathing on his own (with the help of CPAP). The pain/sedation meds can make it too easy for these little ones to just decide to stop breathing. The pacifier is his best friend during procedures, little sweetie.

Love and thanks,
Carrie
