This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, is the lab supervisor and one of five lab techs at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Colds, sore throats, vomiting, oh my!

Hi everyone,

We could definitely use some prayer around here for patience and strength and quick healing. Gavin has a sinus infection following a sore throat, and all the kids but Seth are just streaming/stopped-up, and Seth has been vomiting continuously all night long and all morning so far. I have managed 3 hours of very interrupted sleep, so am THANKING GOD for my wonderful volunteers coming today!!

The husband of one of my main volunteers, Deb, is having his parathyroid glands removed today after years of chronic kidney problems. If you could ask the Lord for His mercy on Russ and Deb and His guidance for the surgeon, they and we would sure appreciate it. We will miss having Deb here these next few days, especially with the kiddos sick, so would also appreciate prayer for quick healing and comfort for Russ! :) Most of all, we pray this surgery permanently solves the calcium deposits and blockages that have been wreaking havoc, necessitating so many surgeries and causing suffering for so long. We Joneses sure love you, Russ and Deb!

Thanks for caring for us all
.

Much love in Christ,
Carrie
And to top it all off, Sam is going to be traveling the next fifteen days!
Here she's pulling double duty with two wailing boys (Seth and Will).

Seth and Grace last night.
Today when I finished changing her diaper she looked at me just like this and laughed out loud. Adorable!

"What is THIS?!!"
Marcie and Will aren't so sure about each other, although she was initially quite happy to suck on his head.
