This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Did you catch my screw-up?

How well do you know your child?  Well, apparently not that well.  The picture I (Gavin) just posted as Marcie was actually an image of a child posing as Marcie whose name is really Will.  I just assumed that the white onesie was for a girl.  I also think Will and Marcie both look the most alike of the five.  (I wonder if maybe they're identical?)

Just to give Marcie equal screen time, here she is:

I'd sure say she's smiling!

  1. I am loving following your story. I first heard your story on klove and now read your updates every day. I'm so glad they're all doing so well! I just wanted to respond to your question. Boy/girl sets can't be identical. They have to be the same gender. Anyway... prayers for your babies and keep up the great updates!

  3. I have friends with twins and when the dad wasn't sure which twin was with him, he would ask, and what is your sister's name? The update and pictures are great. Jane, you look awesome. Love you all. Judith

  5. Like it was said, boy/girl sets can't be identical but you can have identical within the group. Two girls or two boys, etc. If they both came from one egg then they are identical.

  6. I heard this story about twin girls who got into ink pens and scribbled all across their parent's LEATHER couch and when the daddy asked them who did it, they both
looked at each other and said "YOU!" The mom and dad couldnt help but laugh! :)
Praying that one day ya'll will be able to identify them correctly!!!
    Much Love, Ruth
PS. By the way, it was my best friend's twins!!!
