This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Will: Necrotizing enterocolitis?

He seems right as rain, and we have pictures and blood work results to prove it, but he also had some blood and mucus in his stool this afternoon and an abnormal abdominal x-ray. Thank God, the NICU caught it early again and is stopping his feeds and starting antibiotics immediately. We pray he recovers as quickly and fully as David did last week! Thank you for joining us.

In His Hands,
Carrie

"Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom: We commend to your loving care this child, Will. Relieve his
pain, guard him from all danger, restore to him your gifts of gladness and strength, and raise him up to a life of service to you. Hear us, we pray, for you dear Name's sake." Amen.
