This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Nasal cannulas!! :)

Will and David have made the transition successfully so far, thank God! It was so much fun to see their faces the whole time today. What a surprise to find David has very light hair! Will's the only one with dark hair after all. By the way: Will may just have some inflammation and bowel dilation rather than actual NEC, thank God. He's still on bowel rest and receiving treatment to be safe, of course.

Please pray both boys (especially David) continue to tolerate the cannula and don't have low heart rate episodes or forget to breathe.

Happy Dad!

Big stretch! David again

Time for bed! David yet again

  2. Gavin & Carrie - My husband it at UT SW so I stop by the 5th floor to see if yall are in the waiting room but haven't ran into you yet. I am praying for all the babies and the rest of your family - I just loves these angels!! I do believe with them getting "skin" time is the best for them. Tell Gavin he might have to shave in order to not scratch them..ha ha.. May the Lord continue his healing powers and have it so that all the babies will be ready to come home soon.
    Love yall!

  3. Hi there!!
I'm Susan from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I've been watching this beautiful journey unfold, since the start:) These pictures MELTED my heart!! I HAD to post a comment:)
It's been an amazing blessing watching God's handy work, in taking care of these beautiful babies, and their mamma of course! What's been even more beautiful, is the demonstration of your faith and trust in the Lord.
I'm praying without ceasing, be blessed.

  14. This blog-www.anotherordinarymiracle.com tells the story of Bennett and his family. He was a micro-preemie and is doing wonderfully if you ever get a chance to read it. It would be an encouragement. Love the pics. Dad probably can't believe he is holding two of his sons at one time!

  17. Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything.
But imagine if you added some great images or videos to give
your posts more, "pop"! Your content is excellent but with pics
and video clips, this site could certainly be one of the greatest in its field.
    Good blog!

Personally, if all website owners and bloggers made excellent content as you probably did, the internet might be much more helpful than ever before.
