This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Today's Prayer

The doctors have confirmed today that Carrie does have mild preeclampsia. It is a mild case and her blood pressure is still low, so at this point she and the babies are ok and the doctor is content to keep the babies in the oven. If her blood pressure does end up rising, which the doctor expects within a week or so, then they will likely have to deliver the babies.

We are almost at 27 weeks and we would absolutely love for Carrie to get to at least 28 weeks, but why not ask God to keep this preeclampsia at bay and let her go even longer? He might just say no and choose to glorify himself some other amazing way, but I'm going to ask.

Carrie is still feeling well and the itching has abated a good bit, allowing her to sleep pretty well last night, praise God!
