This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

a few more funny pics

Will being 3D imaged for his head "DOC" band today

Grace in blue, Marcie in pink, both dresses of mine when I was a baby in Lomalinda, Colombia.
David wanted to get in on the fun in his onesie from Aunt Courtney. I, of course, like what it says ("Mommy's 1st Mate"). He's the only boy who can wear it anymore! The others are in 3-6 month clothing. Seth is losing weight but still weighs more than David.

Marcie is screeching for me to save her from being licked and chewed on by Will.
Only a good mother would laugh and get a picture first. ;) Her head was so wet afterwards!
That's Gracie on the right in a dress that was my sister's as a baby! I'm giving it back to her. :)

  1. When were you a baby in Loma Linda? I visited there around 1974 and stayed with a woman who was leading a La Leche league (for breastfeeding Moms) group there. I was doing the same thing in Panama and had met her at language school in Costa Rica. I'm sorry I can't remember her name. My husband had to go to Bogota for a teacher's seminar so the kids and I went with him. Barbara Hudson, husonb@juno.com I have enjoyed following your progress and praying for your family. May God continue to bless you. We may have met you at Ukarumpa when we visited David and Anne Smith in early 2011. Somebody flew us in and out but not in a helecopter. Do you also fly fixed wing?

  3. I am looking for David and Anne Smith whom I met at UCLA in the 1960s. They moved to Papua, New Guinea in the 1980s. We are having a BCF reunion (Intervarsity Christian Fellowship) in the Los Angeles area on July 25, 2015. Dr. John Jackson who was in BCF at the same time we were is coordinating the event, and I can have him send David and Anne information. I knew them just before they got married and shortly thereafter. Thank you for any help. My email is dombush@bellsouth.net. My website: http://www.fms-help.com. Facebook: Dominie Bush.
