This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

  6. Yay I was hoping I would read this update tomorrow but today is even better. I know you want all the best for your babies and while I was looking at Seth's pictures it seems to me that his harness straps are above his shoulders. For a rearfacing child they need to come from at or below the shoulders. :) I just wanted to bring it to your attention and tell you I look up to you guys for what you do!!

    1. Thanks for catching that! Yes, we need to fix it. I used to work at the TX Dept of Health and be on other parents at the store when I saw their kids improperly harnessed, so I appreciate your diligence and concern. :) Clearly I've forgotten a thing or two in the past 12 years!

    2. Thanks for not freakin out on me for bringing it to your attention which many parents do. I have been watching your blog since the babies were born and I honestly have to say I am jealous of your missionary life. I would love to go and do the stuff you do. :) I am currently a Child Passenger Safety Technician so I catch that stuff really easy.

  9. Been praying so much for this moment. Rejoicing with you guys. We've never met, but my kids have prayed along this journey as well during our morning Bible times. So excited that your whole family is home together now.
