This is SO delayed; some computer issues, lots of back-and-forth about Seth, running around figuring stuff out, etc. I know you all understand. :)
To answer the big question: no, he's not home yet. His vomiting (think deep, retching, projectile, profuse) got worse and worse, and he wasn't gaining weight, so they needed to figure out a feeding solution before sending him home, of course. We've tried the reflux formula the babies at home are on, but I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone this morning to find out how it's gone overnight. Right now the target homecoming date is Sunday.
On a happier note, he's been really happy, even with all the vomiting going on. He was telling me a lot last night and gave me a big grin. SO cute!
Babies at home are all thriving. I will update as soon as we know anything and I can get to a computer.
Love and gratitude,
Carrie
This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Excellent blog post. I absolutely love this website.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up!
Here is my website : hotmail technical support
I can't wait to meet Mr. Seth!! XOXO
ReplyDeleteNot sure if this will help but my daughter suffered from a severe milk protein allergy...and she was only breastfed (no formula). It was the milk protein in my breastmilk that caused her problems. After a year of suffering and developmental delays, it was finally figured out. We switched to Nutramigen and the impact was immediate and wonderful. Good luck!
ReplyDeletePraying for a speedy recovery from this latest delay in homecoming for Seth.
ReplyDeleteIt is always so good to get the updates and know how things are going and what to pray for. But, no need to apologize for not getting the updates out as quickly as you would like - you could be just a tad busy, and we all understand that.
Also, still praying for peace and patience, and hoping all is going so well that you don't need either!!

Oh Seth, Seth, Seth.....I'm beginning to think your loving the attention and prayers! Just kidding....so praying for this little Mister! And I loved hearing how happy he was last night...that just made my heart sing this afternoon! Prayers continue!
ReplyDeletePraying for Wisdom, Patience, and Peace....God Knows when the time is right for Seth to come home...In His Time.........Answering the comment above....Seth I'll give you all the Prayers and attention you want:) (I know were all in this together)...My heart just can't wait to see him with all his brothers and sisters..and in Dad and Mom's arms...
ReplyDeleteCarrie, Gavin, Issac and babies,
ReplyDeleteI don't even know how I came upon your website when the babies were first born. I am now totally addicted to checking their progress and offer up prayers daily for all of you!! I so wish I lived closer to help you out with the babies, but NY is not an easy commute!! hehe But, know that each day there must be many people like myself that have all of you in our thoughts and prayers. I know that God hears what is in our hearts. May little Seth be with you all soon so he can flourish in your loving home. Laurie M Olean, NY
