This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

News story video

The news story from Saturday never was posted on the internet, so I took a video of it on playing on the TV so I could post it.  The quality isn't the best, but it works.  This was on CBS' Channel 11 in Dallas/Ft. Worth on January 26, 2013.

  1. Oh.... so glad you taped it. I loved watching it. I miss everyone! Jim and I are flying through Houston on Monday on our way to Florida. So close and yet so far. :( Wish I had time to jump off the plane and come change a few diapers, do a load of laundry, wash a few bottles, feed and cuddle a few babies and go out on a date with you! :)

  5. I love the ways God works. "Stand still and know that I AM GOD". We seldom know what God has ahead of any of us. So here is a journey one step at a time that HE has asked you to go on. Only heaven knows how many lives that this journey of your will impact for HIS glory. God Bless You in this. HE never said that life is easy, but HE said that HE will be with you. What a promise. Love in Christ. Donna

  6. Five precious children each so special in their own right. Created by Father God, He who gives only Good gifts. I just realised that the Word Glory has five letters - symbolic of these five precious children. Gods Glory is seen in these children and their parents who decided, its Gods way not the Worlds Way as they Protected each one. May the World witness their commitment and love for this is surely what is happening. As the Worlds darkness so often influences peoples decisions, those who know Him and the Word will stand out as Witnesses of Light. God Bless all of you Gavin, Carrie, Isaac, Will, David, Seth, Marcie and Grace. What a beautiful Family and so Precious in His Sight.

  7. Greetings from Finland! The million hits don´t astonish me at all because your blog is so fascinating, especially the lovely pictures. I got your blog´s address from the newsletter of two of our church´s missionaries also in PNG. It was just before or after the quints were born, and since then I have read your blog almost every day. It has been a really wonderful example of God´s love, how the tiny preemies have grown into such cute babies!
