This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Quick update Sunday night (Monday morning)

It's 12:30, I just finished feeding all the babies and am mostly done with Seth's meds, but wanted to give you all a super quick "all's well" from our end. I know many are probably wondering how Seth is doing, and the answer, thank God, is GREAT! He's breathing beautifully, sounds perfect, and his oxygen saturations are wonderful (97% usually, even while asleep). Thank you SO MUCH for praying!

Another fun thing has been his increased interest in food, which I hope doesn't wane now that he's had his last dose of prednisone 24 hours ago. He's putting pretty much any food he can get his hands on into his mouth and at least tasting it and gnawing on it some. Go, Seth, go!

Gavin's descriptions of our new place in Papua New Guinea make me that much more excited to return. It will be SO much roomier! He's been moving today (Monday over there).

Okay, gotta run. If you really want a glimpse of the babies, here's a mini reality TV show we made tonight. More to follow, much shorter videos. This one is 7+ minutes!

  1. so can Gavin post the 7 minute video over here? Just enjoyed one of the videos from your backyard. Hearing them makes everything so much more real. Your new place is next to my classroom and I am very excited.
    Blessings,
    Jo
