This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Seth is better, praise God!!

Last night (above) and tonight (below), with his former NICU nurse and friend, Frances.

God is clearly working through the antibiotics and all these wonderful prayers we've been receiving. To paraphrase a report from Sam this afternoon (after I woke up from a 4-hour nap!!!!): "Seth is SO cute, crawling all around in his crib, trying to crawl up the sides and crawl out, and playing peek-a-boo."

They diagnosed him with strep pneumonia, but clearly have him on the right antibiotic, thank God. Seth just seems SO much better in his breathing, although his cough still sounds really bad and he's still needing oxygen (even on his 1-liter flow he's de-satting into the high 80's). So please continue praying!!

Love and gratitude, especially for the extra help we're getting at home right now!
Carrie

  1. Praying Carrie....he is just such a doll. I'm glad to hear he's feeling better. God is good!
