This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Marcie, Gracie and Will are going places!

And not just by crawling! :)

The bottom of this shopping cart is full of plaster of paris so it doesn't tip over. Genius idea, Lynn!
Marcie is pushing Gracie, who doesn't appear to know what to think about it.

Gracie may not be thrilled with this idea, but Marcie clearly is!

With her sister no longer at the controls, Grace is happy in her new "seat."

Will is going up, up, up! He also loves to be hung upside down. In fact, all the kids but Seth love it!
Upside down was Isaac's favorite way to be carried, oddly enough.

  1. I have a son that has sensory integration disorder (among other things) and I love the idea of putting plaster of paris in the shopping cart! We have the same cart, and I think we're going to try it. He's constantly knocking it over and picking it up because he loves the 'input' from it. Maybe he would just push it around if it was heavy? I posted this link on my FB page too, I hope that's all right. I have 9 little ones (all under 11) including a baby that turned 1 on the 31st. I enjoy reading along! www.cornishadoptionjourney.blogspot.com if you'd like to 'meet' my crew! :) Blessings to you and your handful! :)

I love to hearing about their personalities....they are all so precious.....God Bless All of You, Dad, Mom Isaac, grandparents, and all who care for these special little ones I have been richly blessed and my faith has grown so much for knowing all of you,....Still Prayers from Dayton Ohio (I still remember to pray for the volunteer, who lost her baby son,,,I hope she is knowing the love and healing of Christ)

  3. I have a question about the plaster of paris. My daugher teaches early childhood and was wondering where you put the plaster? Did you mix it? My daughter works with 1 yr olds and the carts are always falling over. Please give us more information.
    Thanks!
