This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

And then there were 7!

Will arrived in the same stork this afternoon, ending our long, long stay at St. Paul hospital.  103 days, to be exact.  Of course, Seth is still at Children's, but that will be for a while yet.  Our memories of our time at St. Paul will be fond, even as they were challenging and hard many times.  The people there have been absolutely incredible in their professional, lifesaving care of our five babies and we could not be more thankful.  Many have become true friends and all are so appreciated.  We'll bring the babies back to visit when  we have a chance!

Gavin

Isaac was with his friend Peter, otherwise we're all represented (see Seth's hat in my hand?)

Nascent sibling rivalry

Left to right:  Jill, Elizabeth, Jennifer, & Brooke, a few of the many amazing lifesavers who have cared for
our babies over the last 3 1/2 months!

Jones Quint Corner:  This used to be bustling with quintuplet activity, but is now just full of empty beds!
Praise the Lord!

  23. Have been blessed as I have read your blog at times over the last few months. God has been at work in so many ways and in so many lives. May His Name continue to be glorified through the stories. Pray for daily and hourly strength for you all now, and for Seth to be able to join you all soon. (Just returned from regular trips to PNG and flew over Ukarumpa 4 days ago en route to CLTC, so well aware of your background which has made your story so real to me.Now back in Melbourne, Australia.)

  25. I love the blankie! He sure does!

Gorgeous. I'm especially praying that Seth can be home for Christmas. Last year I went to the baptism of a little girl born on Christmas Day and the pastor was explaining how miraculous Christmas babies are, and how God does extra special work in their lives and I've been thinking about that a lot lately and thinking how amazing it would be, and how clear God's plan would be, if Seth got to come home for Christmas.
