This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Isaiah 26:3, "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." What a blessing that they are doing so much better Thank you Jesus. Seth name means "appointed" so we just continue to pray the blood of Jesus over him. I stand in agreement with all in God's precious name for the health and growth of all the babies. Prayers for you and Garvin to have strength to carry on.

Praying....always praying for Seth.....
ReplyDeleteHello and greetings in Jesus precious Name and Spirt from Baltimore, MD. I just got your :"belated" TY letter today, but after delivering quints I hardly consider it late. I'm praying for your wrists and for the babies and will be calling the 700Club prayer ine to pray for you all after I send this comment. Have you considered that the wrist problem is related to the delivery? Intuition... also I think foot massage might help, "the knee bone connected the the thigh bone" yes? (I hope you know that song or the quote makes no sense at all.) Please if you would, mention Baltimore and my neighborhood here called Govans. People really need Jesus here, there are thousands of youngsters and oldersters here out of work and up to no good. Drugs are sold on my block almost every day, and gunshots heard too often. And pray also that somehow my finances will permit another gift, indeed, many more gifts for you and others! I think what you are doing is so exciting. I pass out gospel tracts here in Baltimore and have led several people to faith in Jesus this summer. Pray for me in that, salvation, reconciliation and restoration IS the Bottom Line, and it is everything for all mankind! And the Bottom Line in God's Kingdom is written in RED!
ReplyDeleteI empathize with your sadness, even God was sad before he commissioned Noah, and after too, Jesus at Lazarus' tomb. But I wonder sometimes, was He sad that Lazarus died or that he would have to live again in this world? If your baby dies... and I'm not for that, consider:
Isaiah 57:1
The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
I'm not the greatest theologian either, but we can have joy in the midst of sorrow because He LIVES!
Lord, please grant these courageous and skilled abiders, the Jonses every grace and all supply that your will which they treasure be accomplished in full, Abba in Jesus Name Amen!!!
Yours and His, David

Yes, David, we know the wrist/thumb pain is due to pregnancy/postpartum swelling. It's all gone now thanks to steroid shots (the safe kind!), praise God. Richest blessings as you minister in Baltimore and Govans in particular! Thank you for your prayers
