This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We lived in Papua New Guinea for 18 years working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God in support of Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, worked in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Currently, we are serving the mission in the USA in Recruiting, pilot training, and facilities maintenance work. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and married Meagan in 2025. Our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.
Such adorable ,cute, sweet, caring, active, healthy loving children.....Since the Quints have been home, what stage has been the most challenging? I HAVE LOVE EVERY STAGE and watching them grow and develop, but keep thinking each new stage especially being so active and mobile is a lot to handle.....From" The Quint Club".....

I would say the most challenging stage was the newborn when they wouldn't go to sleep until 11 p.m. or later (David in particular) and when they needed to be fed every 3 hours, plus adding Seth to the mix with his very great medical and care needs. He would scream and vomit profusely sometimes every hour or even every half-hour. I had to be sure I got out of the house for my mental sanity. I remember another quint mom telling me I would need to do that, and she was right! Someone actually asked when I was going to start taking care of my own kids (i.e., on my own, without outside help), and I would have liked to have plunked them down here by themselves so I could let them show me how it's done. It just isn't possible to do it alone (I know I don't need to convince you!), and God knew how much help I needed and when and how often I needed to be able to step away from it all in order to be a better mom upon my return. I hope someday to be able to "pay it forward" to others who need baby/elder care or sleep or laundry or cleaning done! Now I can do it by myself, but it's pretty crazy busy and veritably impossible to get anything else done, so we still love help! :) I love this stage, though. They are such funny little people with huge personalities and super entertaining! Love you - thanks for your kind comments and prayers, as always!
