This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Mini-update

Seth did fine for 4 hours off oxygen this morning. I'll take him off for four hours this afternoon and hope and pray he does okay!

Also, he just had his occupational therapy reassessment and passed with flying colors, functioning right at his adjusted age. In other words, he picks up and waves and bangs toys appropriately, including banging two toys together, and he sits really well. He was so cute during the assessment. It was obvious he loved being the center of attention; he just kept grinning and making noises of delight at all of us.

On our way to visit the McIntoshes: "Can we go yet?"

  1. Lord, thank you so much for all the progress that Seth had made. We pray, Lord, for complete healing of his lungs, so he has no need for the oxygen support. Your blessings have been immeasurable for these beautiful children, but we know, Father, that we can ask for more and that You will listen and answer according to Your will. All praise and honor belong to You. Amen. NKL
