This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Fun times with friends and family!

We're having so much fun these days! Aunt Jody is here from Oregon (she's married to Gavin's brother Jared), "Aunt" Esther is here from Nashville (14 hugs back to Gail Roger's class!), and "Aunt" Edna has been one of our regulars. Both Esther and Edna are my "aunties" from Lomalinda days. In fact, I grew up in the house that once was Esther's family's!

Esther's daughter Lynée (a regular volunteer) comes almost daily to work with Seth. He's doing so much better with the bottle and food! He's still vomiting, though, so we'd appreciate continued prayer for that. It's much less frequent than previously, but it wakes him up every morning at 5:30 or so - a rough start for us all.

Aunt Jody with the whole crew, including a very upset David (he was tired). All the darling baby clothes are gifts!

Gracie is in the yellow shirt, Marcie is in the stripes, and Jody is holding Will.

Edna with David. (Do YOU love our children enough to let them pull on your jewelry?)

Will and David

This is so cute of David!

Sleepy Seth. He rarely has the cannula on anymore during the day, but sometimes still drops low enough to need the supplemental oxygen for a while. We pray he won't need it during the daytime anymore by next week, Lord willing.

Isaac takes his cousins' gift of a silly straw very seriously.
Thanks, Ethan and Levi!

  1. How fun to see a picture of Esther there. She's the one who got me praying for y'all.

  2. Just wondering why you have an 8 seater toddler table?

    1. First Baptist Dallas kindly gave it to us when they were getting rid of it. :) It helps to have friends in MANY places! It's a wonderful provision. The 8 seats allow us to separate at least three of the kids. Marcie, David and Will really need to not have someone next to them, and Grace is getting pretty bad too at grabbing Seth's spoon and food when she can. Carrie
