This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Seth update - doing much better!
Thankfully, Carrie acted quickly to get Seth on Oxygen the night before last. Yesterday and today, you wouldn't know that he's sick as energetic and crazy he's been acting. Today, he was already off oxygen most of the day and he's sleeping soundly now off O2.
Thank you all for your prayers on his behalf and thank you Lord for healing him so quickly!

Back on oxygen again!
Seth had a mild cold yesterday, then last night I heard him coughing in a weird way so went to give him inhalers. He was breathing a bit fast and grunting with effort, and his oxygenation didn't come up above 85% even after all his treatments. So here we are. He acts completely normal otherwise!
Thanks for praying!!
Receiving his nebulizer treatment after midnight; our poor clinic staff!

Sometimes things get pretty amusing in the middle of the Papua New Guinea jungle. I landed here this morning in the Finisterre mountain range where Finisterre Vision mission is hoping to send some missionaries. I looked over at the Heli after a bit and this guy who had baby powdered his whole body and decorated himself with flowers was sitting on the helicopter skid. When I went to take a picture of him, a kid walks up wearing a construction hard hat and safety vest. PNG, definitely the land of the unexpected!

First set of quintuplet school pictures!
Lord willing, there will be 15 years of these (two years of preschool included). Thanks to Janeen for taking them, and to Debbie for organizing it! She sent out a reminder that it was photo day, but I still forgot and failed to coordinate/match the kids or do any hairstyling. Oh well, they're still cute!
