This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

photos from yesterday and today (1/31/14)

Marcie reading with Mommy
Marcie's cute new clothes from Len and Mickey!

David and Marcie reading with Ypie

David with the pony. I took this immediately after I finished the last blog post in which I noted that it was really hard to get photos of David because he's always on the go!

Box wars! David is crushing his big brother Will

Will fought back (he very much believes in survival of the fittest, i.e. himself). David was cracking up with laughter, although you can't see it in this photo

  2. Hi Jutta! You are my favorite commenter right now. ;) So sweet of you to say so, and I have to confess I only looked that put-together because we had a GI appointment in downtown Dallas for Seth. All those beautiful clothes were given to me by a lovely lady whose daughter is a designer in the fashion industry. She also donates lots of clothes to the other missionary women here at our Dallas Center. What a blessing!

  3. I want to know if that is Ypie Doelman. There can't be many Ypie's in this world, at least not in Dallas. I knew Ypie well in Suriname, South America but haven't seen her or even hardly heard her name since 1992 when I left Suriname. Her boys were very small when I knew her. I loved her! Imagine finding her on your posts which I look at regularly...if it is her. She knew me as Beth Grant...please tell her I say hi.
