This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

  3. I first became aware of your family only today, and so today and from now on my prayers will be sent both in your direction and to our Father. Having a son with special needs I can still only imagine how you continue to cope daily with the needs of all six of your children. I remember well the days I spent desperately praying to God to spare our son. Each time I heard him cry (or now when I hear him yell at his older sister!)or when he is up through the night, I recall when he was a new born and all I wanted was for him to wake up and cry. I sometimes joke with friends to be careful what you wish for - Speach therapy was a blessing when he was five, but now he is rarely quiet! God won't give us what we can't handle, but it's not a sign of weakness to wish He would sometimes underestimate us! Hang in there, and know that there are prayers attached to every one of those million hits on your blog.
