This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We lived in Papua New Guinea for 18 years working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God in support of Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, worked in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Currently, we are serving the mission in the USA in Recruiting, pilot training, and facilities maintenance work. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and married Meagan in 2025. Our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Swimming for the first time in PNG!

Thank God for helpers! Our Ukarumpa "family," James and Natalie, as well as our wonderful "mother's helper," Dilu, came with us. The pool is at a nearby restaurant. It's a beautiful spot! It was nice not to cook either. :)

Marcie refused to wear a shirt. From now on it's obligatory - no sunscreen is enough to protect her fair skin!

Isaac and Dilu were a huge help because they could touch the whole time and help babies in and out and around.

    Wow, what a way to start my New Year ......pictures of these beautiful children, healthy, happy and having a blast! Thank you so much for posting them Carrie.....again, they all look wonderful. Seth remains in my "knee-mail" to God each night...praying for a growth spurt! Prayers continue....

      I pray for all 6 of these children Jane....but have to admit that Seth stole my heart a long time ago.....God has something very special planned for that little ones life!

      He is still fighting off the remnants of it and I'm in top notch form once again. Yes, it was a very nasty flu...thank you for thinking of us! It's a bit tougher on us "oldsters" to shake...the mind is willing but the body isn't. LOL

    Awesome and love those "floaties"!! Carrie you managed to stay dry the whole time? :). Great fun for all even big bro Isaac. So glad you were able to bring in the new year with a splash! Blessings for 2015.

    Looks quite a bit spiffier than when we were there 8 years ago! A fun day...and NO COOKING is ALWAYS a big PLUS!
