This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Bubu's, Birthdays, and Baby Trains

"Bubu" is the Pidgin word for grandparent. Here are a couple more pictures from Larry and Marcia's arrival:

Caught Marmi in the middle of  kissing Gracie! The kids LOVE "MarmiPapa!" Gracie says their names together.

 Marmi and Papa brought some FUN and delicious gifts! This was a photo book made by our babysitter and photographer Naomi:

Seth CRIED when I finally had to take the book away from him. He is our book baby for sure!


Seth missed this book-reading session with Marmi for some reason. He might have been asleep already for nap; I forget! The kids are always so excited when Marmi or Papa show up unexpectedly (or planned, for that matter). They run screaming and grinning for hugs and to be held.

Isaac's 11th birthday was Thursday, and Marmi's was today! Happy Birthday to them both! Isaac is 11 now, and Marmi is I'm-not-telling (but doesn't she look beautiful as always?!). This was Isaac's small family party. His friend Jono is the boy in the sleeveless shirt caught in mid-chew.
