This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

They're turning two years old!

I just posted this on our public information site:

Will, David, Marcie, Seth and Grace are turning two years old tomorrow! We invite those of you who have been praying for and caring about our babies to celebrate the gift of their lives with us. They were born nearly three months earlier than a normal singleton baby, so their health and presence here is a huge testament to God's loving kindness and power. We give ALL the glory to Him, and we thank Him for the excellent care He's provided all along the way, including here in Ukarumpa!

We will be at the Primary School Campus from 3:30 to 5:00. Kids feel free to bring balls or ride-on toys to play with. We'll have the party rain or shine since there is some roof coverage. There will be cake only, so please bring your own drinks. I don't have a big cooler to transport water down there.

No gifts are necessary.

One warning/toksave: The babies have had cryptosporidiosis - an intestinal illness - and a mild cold. We will make sure they are clean as possible, but they are still contagious, especially the cold. We won't be hurt if very few people show up!

Gratefully,
Carrie (who feels a lot more comfortable than she did at this time two years ago)

Pictures from their Friday play date at the McEvoys':
Left to right: David, Will, Seth, Marcie, Gracie. You can tell from this picture poor Will feels miserable still. We'd sure appreciate prayer that he's tons better by his party tomorrow afternoon! It will be about 11:30 pm CST Friday, which is 3:30 Saturday here in PNG
LOVE!! Gracie and Marcie, precious and beautiful and sweet times two at age two!

Seth needs a haircut, but the halo effect kind of suits him. ;)

David is ALL little boy. After tomorrow I can't call them babies anymore!

David in the dog house?!

Will felt well enough to climb a small mountain, anyway

Could Gracie laugh any harder?!

I originally thought a good caption for this photo was: "I'd like to toot my own horn because I almost died of lung disease, but here I am two years later blowing away on the other side of the world!" However, any horn-blowing glory goes to God, Jehovah Rapha, The LORD our Healer, who chose in His sovereign will and mercy to heal Seth.
