This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Update on Will and Seth

I keep forgetting to mention that Seth is doing better as far as weight gain (He gained a whopping 7 ounces in just two days on continuous feeds!) and also with vomiting, but he did empty his tummy onto the cement overlooking the fountain in the cute picture I just posted. :} I think all the excitement got to him! So please keep praying he'll continue gaining weight and will be able to go back to bolus (all at once) feeds so he doesn't need to be hooked up to a plastic tube all day long. The other babies are WAY too mobile and interested in it! And please continue to pray he stops vomiting altogether.

Will remains kinda sorta sick, mostly just feeling warm to the touch, and now David and Marcie do too. I bet it wouldn't even register on a thermometer. I woke up with a slight scratchy throat and stuffy nose, so I guess that's what the babies are fighting too. The good news is it's extremely mild. I don't feel sick at all, and the babies are all really happy - hooray! :)

So thanks for praying! Prayer works, I am reminded over and over again - or rather, our loving, all-powerful and holy Father works through and in (and sometimes even despite) our prayers.

Love and gratitude,
Carrie

P.S. David's favorite place to be is under the glass-topped wrought-iron kitchen table. There must be a lot of scope for the imagination down there. I can see his little bald head as I type. :)
