This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

April Fools' Day is today!

Apparently, my previous post was more subtle than I thought.  (Or my humor is more twisted than I think.)  Today was April Fools' Day.  Our babies are just fine.  I just found some of the funniest/worst pictures of them and had a little fun.  I thought their "maladies" and "symptoms" would be humorous and a bit more obvious than they were.

Thank you for your prayers for them and their "allergies" and I'm sorry to have alarmed any of you.

  1. I'm very relieved that the babies are all okay. I thought it strange that all of a sudden they had allergies but each one seened to be manifesting in a different way. Several people at JAARS asked today how the babies are and I told them about the allergies and asked them to pray.

I must say, however, that the photos were classics. I especially like the one of Gracie. She just looks "mean" in that one!!!

    Blessings to all,

    Gail

  5. Hey Gavin--after realizing this was April 1--I immediately decided your humor must come from your grandpa Bob. I remember him doing things like this. Phyllis Wardlaw

  10. Carrie, church nurseries make babies sick faster than anything......of course, preemies are the most susceptible. Toys and beds and changing tables have mega germs and people bring their children to church sick because they think God will protect them from getting worse or from passing it around.
