This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to support Bible translations in progress around the country and the people of PNG. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, is currently the lab supervisor and one of five lab techs at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.
But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him and his righteousness with their children's children . . . Psalm 103:17
I guess our recent earthquake (3:45 a.m. our time yesterday) has made some international news. We are fine. It was definitely the biggest one we've felt, and seemed to go on a lot longer than most - waking up and freaking out the kids, including Isaac! There was a bigger one when we were last in the USA, so we missed it (for which I am grateful). Some of Gavin's colleagues and passengers who serve with New Tribes and MAF reported lots more damage and even PNG lives lost in a landslide. Even at the epicenter, though, friends' new village houses did not fall down, thankfully! Thanks for praying for those who did lose loved ones and houses. :(
In different news, our kids all had dental checkups and did AMAZING. So brave and cute (especially in the eye-shield sunglasses)! I only have pictures of Marcie, Seth and Will (Gavin got the others with his much better camera). Will was the only quint with cavities, so he got to choose a toy for a reward in sitting so still and being such a good boy. He chose a bubble machine "gun," much to his siblings' shared delight. It doubles nicely as a fan. :)
Will getting the cavities taken care of. So sedate-looking!
