This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, is the lab supervisor and one of five lab techs at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Marmi and Papa - Gavin's parents, for those who aren't regular followers - and our nephew/cousin Ethan arrived for a few weeks' visit! (They've been here since Dec. 31, but some Internet connection issues have prevented me from posting as soon as I would have liked.) Ethan already left again, but we sure enjoyed our time with him here! He's a super great big 15-year-old young man, a pleasure and blessing to have around! We miss him! Thankfully, Marmi and Papa get to stay a few more weeks.

Ethan and Isaac experiencing the true missionary kid life - bicycles and MUD during rainy season!

The boys went scuba-diving! Ethan is already certified, and it would be a crying shame to miss a chance to dive while in the Pacific, right? There are some incredible reefs around us! (We traveled to the coastal city of Madang for a few days to get this fab activity in.)
