This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

One year ago today

David came home October 20th, 2012, weighing 5 pounds 10 ounces.

About to leave the NICU, 37 weeks gestation (3 weeks before his due date of Nov. 3rd)
Today, walking around, exploring his world like a big boy:

  1. Goodness, I remember the day you and Gavin took him home...it was such joy seeing the two of you cradling that beautiful little boy! He looks great! He seems to always have a very serious look on his face, he's always checking things out so closely. I also love the way he stands with those little legs spread out for balance! What a wonderful set of pictures!

    1. Yes, David is quite serious & deliberate. He looks just like his daddy. Maybe he will share his dad's insightful wit as well as his diverse & abundant skill sets.

  2. What a difference a year makes!! Thank God for his many blessings on these precious babies and their family. I'm surely looking forward to seeing you soon. I'm already beginning to plan my trip, including a dental appointment - ugh. I also think I'm going to stop at "Duck Dynasty" in West Monroe, Louisiana. I understand it is only five blocks off I-20. Can't wait to see many friends and help take care of the babies.

    Love to all,

    Gail Boemker
