This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Seth is better!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for praying!! Praise the Lord, Seth is BACK! He's his silly self, growling at us, laughing, playing with the others, and eating and drinking. Please pray he'll eat better and better so he can recover that weight loss. He's still not eating as much as normal, but it's a vast improvement and such a delight to hear him ask for food.

In sadder news, my parents said goodbye to the kids tonight. I feel so sad for them! I can't imagine leaving my kiddos for more than a  few days. I'm always desperate to see them again! Tonight, completely unsolicited, as Grandpadad was getting out of the car, David said, "I love him." (Awwwww!)

Marcie has completely lost her voice. Gracie seems fine, Will and David still have nasty noses. However, everyone does seem to be really and truly at least mostly healthy, praise God.

Thanks again for praying!
Carrie

P.S. I took a lot of photos tonight but now can't get them to export so I can put them onto the blog. Standby for future pics . . .

  2. So glad Seth is doing better! I'll be praying for him to gain back that weight! And for everyone to get back to health...and adjust to your parents having gone home. That's rough for everyone!!

  4. Glad Seth is better. Parting as the grandparent is hard but so sweet to hear those terms of endearment.
