This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Pictures from cold, rainy Dallas November 4th

Yesterday was the quints' due date "birthday!" If each one of them had been a single baby, they should have been born on or around November 3rd. I was going to take a picture of them in birthday hats, but things were too hectic to make it happen. Gavin is gone on a flying/speaking trip, a wonderful opportunity, but I realize how very spoiled I am when he's home! He's super involved with the babies, especially in the middle of the night and morning. It's lovely to tag-team. :)

Dinnertime chaos. The quints had already had theirs and I was working on ours, and they were too distraught to be away from me! It was a wild day here - beginning at 5:30, groan! Daylight Savings is a mixed blessing.

Silly Seth wanted a hat!

Cousin-sisters! That's what Papua New Guineans call female cousins. In PNG cousins are pretty much as close as sisters.
Marcie is head-banging to the music from the motorcycle while Mari is enjoying the tunes played by the train she's on.
Dueling banjos, so to speak. Welcome to our reality. :)

The cousin-sisters again: Mari, Marcie, Gracie. Mari LOVES books! I hope Gracie and Marcie will too.

The photo that we'll have to show on their respective wedding days: David, Marcie, Seth, Will, Mari, and Gracie.

Will wearing his daddy's silly wig from Trunk or Treat

Two too pretty girls!

I couldn't decide which picture was better. Marcie looks so grown up in this picture! She's in the blue.

Cousins nearly filling the table (Lisi, we needed you!) David, Will, Marcie, Gracie, Mari, Seth (and Aunt Pam!).

  1. how much older is Mari, I can't remember. In the tub, they look like they all have hair! I love letting the kids explore the kitchen (once you've put in all the protective knobs). In some ways they are still all such individuals, even in a group. After looking at your videos posted in Ukarumpa, I think that I would need ear plugs.

  2. Oh my amazing nieces and nephews. I am gloating over these pictures. Lisi would have LOVED to be there to play with and "help" all the cousins and fill in that spot at the table!

  4. In the pictures of Gracie and Marcie, I think they look much more alike than they usually do. Love their smiles (how can one not love those smiles). Missing them.
