Now that six months have gone by, I am finally resuming some work in the kitchen. I made three meals this past week. This was the most complex, and with two of the five babies really not happy I had to get a bit inventive. Thankfully we have two Snugli baby carriers. :)

David in front, Marcie in back. It was a challenge to stay far enough away from the frying pan that David couldn't get his patty hands into it! |

Empty crinkly bags are fun! |

"Oh, was I not meant to get ahold of this?" |
When my kids were litte. .and able to move their bodies around their favorite toy was a few crinkly bags tied tight in a pillowcase... cirinkle away
ReplyDeleteAh such fond memories - I used to do this with the twins. I would also take them grocery shopping like that and I got some pretty funny looks. :)
ReplyDeleteoh I just cracked up so loud! by the way, I don't think my kitchen floor has ever been that clean!

My wife and I have been closely following every development with the quintuplets and with Isaac. However, both of us were shocked when we saw the picture of David inches away from a hot pan on the stove. Fortunately his hand was not burned or grease spattered in his eyes. Please be more careful with these precious little ones.
ReplyDeleteI was indeed very careful. What was in the pan was merely warming (had previously been cooked through, without babies on board), not simmering, and it wasn't a sauce. There wasn't any grease to splatter. If I had been frying bacon I certainly wouldn't have had anyone in the front pack! Please note I said it was "challenge" to keep his hands away; meaning I was well aware of the critical importance of doing so, not that I couldn't and didn't do so.
DeleteThank you for caring!
