Cooking with Quints

Now that six months have gone by, I am finally resuming some work in the kitchen. I made three meals this past week. This was the most complex, and with two of the five babies really not happy I had to get a bit inventive. Thankfully we have two Snugli baby carriers. :)

David in front, Marcie in back. It was a challenge to stay far enough away from the frying pan that David couldn't get his patty hands into it!

Empty crinkly bags are fun!
"Oh, was I not meant to get ahold of this?"

  2. Ah such fond memories - I used to do this with the twins. I would also take them grocery shopping like that and I got some pretty funny looks. :)

  7. My wife and I have been closely following every development with the quintuplets and with Isaac. However, both of us were shocked when we saw the picture of David inches away from a hot pan on the stove. Fortunately his hand was not burned or grease spattered in his eyes. Please be more careful with these precious little ones.

    1. I was indeed very careful. What was in the pan was merely warming (had previously been cooked through, without babies on board), not simmering, and it wasn't a sauce. There wasn't any grease to splatter. If I had been frying bacon I certainly wouldn't have had anyone in the front pack! Please note I said it was "challenge" to keep his hands away; meaning I was well aware of the critical importance of doing so, not that I couldn't and didn't do so.

      Thank you for caring!
      Carrie
