Jubilation!!! And pictures

Seth's virus panel came back negative, and his g-tube surgery is scheduled for the 17th, allowing him to COME HOME not too long after! I think they said about a week.

A gastric feeding tube (G-tube or "button") is a tube inserted through a small incision in the abdomen into the stomach and is used for long-term enteral nutrition. One type is the percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube which is placed endoscopically. The insertion takes about 20 minutes. (Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feeding_tube)

Meanwhile, he is laughing, babbling, smiling, and happy, plus is sleeping all night now! It was very nice of the hospital staff to get him through the fussy period and sleeping well, although I know the transition home will no doubt throw a bit of a wrench in the works. No matter, we'll take him with open arms and lots of love and patience (and help from the wonderful home team)!

How perfect was this? Grace and David are G-rating their own photo! Mind you, it took several tries to get this. :) I was trying to get those bandaid-type cannula-affixing dots on Gracie's face wet enough to remove easily since she's off oxygen now, hooray, hooray! Grace looks bigger in this photo because of the camera angle; she's still almost three pounds lighter than David.

Isaac was absolutely, happily indispensable last night! I kept him running for baby items, unloading grocery bags, watching the little ones in the tub and in the living room, and entertaining whoever was fussy at any given time. This is his solution to both Marcie Jane (left) and Will (right) fussing at the same time: He pulled Marcie Jane's rocking seat over to face Will so they could look at each other while he entertained them both with his antics, rocking, pacifiers, and finger-holding. [Gavin was at the hospital enjoying quality time with Seth, so we were less "well staffed" than usual.]

Will is trying out his big boy seat! This converts to an activity/eating chair with toys/tray, depending on how one rotates it, and the orange part can be removed when they are older so it becomes a booster seat for the toddler years with straps to secure it to dining room chairs. Love it! Have 5. :)
