Sorry so late . . . (and a P.S.)

You can usually assume no news is good news since I run to the blog for prayer support when any of the babies is struggling!

David was back to his happy little self by yesterday morning. I got to hold him, which he seemed to really enjoy, precious boy.

Gavin held Will, who has had some significant edema/swelling. He seemed pretty uncomfortable yesterday, although he loved being cradled by Daddy. We'll see how he is today.

Marcie was a sweetie when I held her. Her eyes were red from her eye exam, and she just kept them closed, poor thing. :( Glad they don't need another exam for 3 weeks!

Seth was asleep the whole time we were there, so today we're staying later in order to visit with him during his assessment and diaper change time. He was at 48% oxygen needs when I just called. We keep asking for his lungs to heal and grow!

Grace continues to recover, but still has gunk/water on her lungs (the lungs are pushed aside for the surgery, and there was some collapse). Please pray for wisdom for the staff as they treat her, and for all that to clear up, Lord willing, so her vent and oxygen needs can decrease. She is happy and perky nonetheless, thank God! We'll get to visit with her, too, at noon. She's still at Children's, which we're glad about since the trip over stressed her out.

Isaac was SO excited about his school's spaghetti supper and parent orientation last night! He was very outgoing, seeking out the other kids and his teacher and thrilled to see them. He took our newspaper article and pictures in so the class could hear about the quints yesterday. I guess that was a hit. :) He seems to really love his teacher and school, and asks that we pray for more friends (even though he says he now has 15; guess he wants to know all the kids on the playground!).

Gotta run; thank you for praying!!
Carrie

P.S. If you sent us a pack 'n' play from our registry, THANK YOU! We can't access addresses, and we don't recognize the names. Please let us know, if you're willing. :) We so appreciate it!

  1. Awesome that school is going better for Isaac - it always helps to have something cool to introduce yourself when you're the new kid :)

  2. So good to hear that Isaac is thriving in his new school. 15 friends is quite a few, he must be very popular! He sounds like an outgoing young man...continuing to pray for him...
